Ideally Located between two of Utah’s population centers – Salt Lake City and Ogden – Washington Terrace City has all the advantages of a smaller community in close proximity to the goods, services, educational, professional, and cultural opportunities of larger metropolitan areas. With an estimated population of nearly 10,000, Washington Terrace covers an area of approximately four square miles.
The city of Washington Terrace continued to grow and expand until it finally became the city it is today. This area is rich in a variety of activities whether your goal is to rest, revive, recreate, or relocate.
Washington Terrace City Parks & Recreation Department is dedicated to providing its citizens with meaningful leisure time activities and facilities geared toward improving their physical, mental, and social well-being. Washington Terrace City parks have lots to offer. Sports fields, pavilions, walking trails, playgrounds, great views and more. *NO alcohol or smoking allowed in buildings or on city property.
Exercise is a fundamental necessity in maintaining one’s health. One of the most beneficial exercises is that of walking, jogging, or running. Click here for information outlining trails throughout the City.
The Civic-Senior Community Center and its programs are available to all community residents. It operates as a Senior Center Monday-Friday 8am-4pm for those ages 55 and older.
The City has made its parks available for rent to its citizens. These rentals include the Rohmer Park Pavilion. Reservations are made at City Hall, or for more information call (801) 393-8681.
